Schedule Change:  Shelters will open Thursday September 13 at 10 a.m. at 3 locations:  Bertie Middle School, Colerain Elementary School and  West Bertie Elementary School.

Curfew will start September 13th at 8:00PM

County offices and the Courthouse will remain closed Thursday and Friday.

 

Good Morning, Florence is holding its current tract at the moment and still showing winds and rain starting later today. Rain totals could be between 7 and 10 inches in parts of the County that will contribute to flooding in low lying flood prone areas. The County is currently under a Tropical storm and surge warning. The surge on the Albemarle sound can get between 2 and 4 feet. Expect to see winds in the 40mph range with gust above 50.

Tropical storm conditions possible. A slight chance of showers before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8am and 2pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tropical storm conditions expected. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 74. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tropical storm conditions expected. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 82. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
